Today, was sit around and hope that there is no technical glitch before the 5pm launch. We did find that we had to stake out our spot on the chair line of the canal as chairs and canopies were being set-up early.

We traveled in the RV down to Jetty Park on Cape Carnival to see the Discovery launch. On the first day we settled in and explored the park. And yes…..took pictures.
Jean Banks and her son Ricky visited us while they were on a trip from Alabama.

Silver Springs had something new to view under the glass bottom boats today. A local dive club was recreating the filming of scenes from the old TV show Sea Hunt that was filmed at Silver Springs.

I also got some nice bird pictures today
We traveled up to Gainesville today to get some “store bought” teeth and took in two museums and a mall while we were there.

And also found another geocache at the Florida History museum.
We went to lunch with the Spanish Oaks gang at Barnhill’s.

Then me and the folks set off for the Polo matches at the Villages. These horses were much more pampered then then the ones we saw at the sale the day before. Have the hi-res slideshow here.
After the match, we stopped off at Sumter Landing part of the villages and got some Haagan-Dazs sorbets and yogurt.
Since we were in the market for a horse……..No. I was hoping this horse sale would give me an opportunity to get upclose horse pictures for future Ocala postcards, but the horses were not in great model form. They had already sold half of them and only had one burro left.

Before going to the sale we checked out the OBS betting room which took bets for just about anything people bet on.
Turned out there was two caches that we went pass last time at the Turning Hawk community. So biking from Santos we went out to find them.
Dad found the first one off a hiking trail and I added a postcard that I made to the cache.

We “hooved” it down a little farther on a horse trail, where I discovered the next one. After registering these finds with geocaching.com, found out this makes 40 finds for us.
Trying my hand at pet portraits with Chip as the model. Some 60 shots and this is the only one I sorta liked. Harder to do then it sounds. Need better lighting and backdrops.
Mom and I went down to Belleview Founder’s Day.

It was a rather small affair. I was thinking it would have more in the way of arts & crafts vendors. It did have a car show and a bluegrass band.

Was notified by Geocache that a new cache had been placed out along the biking trails, so we went riding on our old trail, out past the sinkhole and found another geocache. We were the second to find it.
