Wow, one of the more difficult games to film in a while.  The God of Thunder sent a short but big thunderstorm each day of the game and even with the rain it still was extremely hot.  Didn’t get much video the first day as my camera shorted out and I was too tired to even film the final battle Sunday.

We walked out of the woods onto the shore of the river to see the sunset. The island park kinda reminded me of the island in the movie Castaway with lush vegetation right up to the edge of the beach.

This has to go down as my favorite picture of the trip. The waterway was busy with several ships on sunset cruises.

More campers started coming out as the sun was going down.

We had several visits from various wildlife to our campsite.

Can never get enough Banana Spider.

This guy wondered into camp looking for leftovers and made himself at home.

I thought I had seen my first Florida wild cat late Tuesday evening in the woods just outside of camp.  Maybe a lynx or bobcat.

After a little photoshop work back at home, I have decided my wild cat may of been of the house variety.

Dad and I hiked the half mile from the campsite to the fort. The fort is mostly intact as it never saw a major military engagement. Union soldiers took it over early in the Civil War and the South never saw it again.

The architecture had big medieval castle influences including a dry moat and draw bridge.

Could really sympathize with troops that were stationed here without bug spray or air condition.

Dad and I rode over to see Fort Clinch. Couldn’t see much from the front entrance without paying two dollars to get in, but on the way back we noticed a road to a fishing spot which was right next to the fort.

After we got back we all went to the Atlantic beach parking area and walked out to the pier there.

In my quest to photograph wildlife I got this exclusive photo of the very rare pigeon walking the sand dunes.

Going down to the beach to collect shells.

We followed the Schillings to the Fort Clinch State Park above Jacksonville.

After getting the rigs hooked up we stayed at our campsite for a bit.

Our campsite was huge right across from the bathhouse with our own trail to the riverside beach.

We eventually wondered down to the river beach to check out the view.
