Rainbow Springs State Park

waterfall.gif

Went to the the State Park in Dunnellon. The city was
having a arts & crafts fair, so we stopped there first.

Y’all have to ask Mom about the garage wooden rose industry that we discovered.

The Rainbow Springs State Park has a beautiful eating area/gift shop

overlooking the head springs.

At only a $1 admission the park seems to stay full.

d054.jpg

Couldn’t find much in the way of wildlife to take pictures

of so I had to make do.

d057.jpg

Quite a few canoes and kayaks were out on the river.

d063.jpg

The area is known for it’s man-made waterfalls.

This one is a good 40 feet high.

Everywhere we looked there seemed to be a great

background for portrait prints.

Another Cool Paintball Photo

I have been going through all the paintball photos that Dad has taken to set-up a photo gallery through www.dotphoto.com which sells everything from prints to photo playing cards. We would get a commission on anything purchased with our images on Ragtop1968.dotphoto.com

Anyway, found this picture that I hadn’t noticed before.

nearmiss.jpg

I wonder if I had a “deer in the headlights” look on my face.

A pretty good camera to capture a small object going

200mph.

Spanish Oaks Birds

clubhouse.jpg

Needed a break from several ongoing projects, so I took

the camera to the Pond to capture the picture of two

new arrivals.

birds3.jpg

Both were camera shy, wouldn’t let me get too close

even with the telephoto lens.

fish1.jpg

I was startled at what I thought was the tail of an

alligator in the pond.

fish2.jpg

It was just the fins of this huge fish swiming

near the surface.

We went biking at Santos today and brought along the new camera.

Dad going down a “gnarly” Florida mountain.

Me trying to find my climb gear.
IMG_2474.jpg
Made it just to the first bench today.  Had a hard time getting this picture with all the backlighting and still have yet to figure out all the manual settings on the camera.
IMG_2477.jpg
While working on it, a huge group of horseback riders came through.
IMG_2483.jpg
Yes, this was suppose to be a picture of Dad but in my defense she had the horse in gallop-mode.

pb2xarticle.jpg

My article on the Camp Blanding game FINALLY

got published on the PB2X website. www.pb2x.com

They have a heavy tournament paintball focus and

this is the first scenario article on there in a long time.

But Hollywood’s Camp Blanding article and PBJUNKIE’s

pictures are suppose to be in the May issue of the magazine

and Ragtop Video is suppose to have some kind of mention also….so I can’t

wait to get it.

We had vistors from the cold north (NY). Actually the one on the right has a unit here, but does not get to use it much. And of course Chips had to get into the picture.

Diablo Island Pictures

am picts 313.jpg

I got a chance to look through Dad’s photograph’s of the

game at Wayne’s World today.  This is my favorite from this

batch.  I put more of my favorites here. The game was smaller

then last year’s game with a little over 300 players.  Of course,

when I started playing paintball in Tuscaloosa a BIG GAME was

15 players.
