Getting excited. Leaving tomorrow for MXS Productions 24 hour scenario
game at the famous (in paintball circles) Camp Blanding. The Florida National
Guard has a M.O.U.T. training facility here. MOUT stands for Military Operations in Urban Terrain. The military and police forces rent out the facility for play…I mean training. It is a small city of three/two/one story buildings, a sewer system for tunnel rats,
paved roads, bridge and several war-torn structures.
It will be my first time there and the National Guard’s first time allowing commercial filming of the facility.

While using Google Earth to look-up caches in Ocala, I found John Travolta’s home on there, so the pictures they are using are fairly recent. Looks like he has his own practice golf course in the backyard. Money can’t buy happiness but it can buy your own practice golf course in the backyard.

You can see his home to the middle right of the runway in this picture. Which shows how big a runway Jumbolair has.

We made a second attempt at some geocaches in the Banyan Trail System with the new GPS today. It felt almost like cheating as the GPS walked me right into the first one where we meet a geocaching couple from Deland who call themselves the Deland Duo on www.geocaching.com. They give us a heads up on the next cache which was about 40 foot off. Dad found that one and the next one which my GPS was having a harder time keeping a fix on our location for some reason. According to google earth we put in about 1.55 miles

Haven’t posted in a while. I got a new GPS unit on EBAY and I thought I would try it
out on a bike ride through Spanish Oaks. I imported the track into Google Earth to see how it lined up. A little off in places, but overall pretty good.
